Kim Hammer
owner/master stylist
Kim has over 16 years experience as a hairstylist and an educator. She brings a fresh perspective to everything she does with her extensive Aveda background.
Her career began with training in cutting, color and extension work in Detroit. She soon became the creative director of a large salon in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago. In addition she was a freelance educator for Salon Systems, the Aveda distributor in Chicago.
In 2000, Kim began working as a Senior Stylist and Educator for the Aveda/Estee Lauder company, primarily out of their SoHo, NYC location. Kim’s work has been featured in television and print, and she has styled celebrities including Margaret Cho, P.J. Harvey, and Natasha Lyonne. In May 2007 she opened FRINGE Salon.
Outside of her business Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children in their South Orange, NJ home, where she has been a resident for the past five years. |
